Thanet Well Park is located at the forest edge with spectacular views across open moorland towards Carrick Fell (663m), Blencathra (868m) and Bowscale Fell (703m). The immediate area offers some of the finest walking and cycling in Britain. In addition there is hang-gliding, climbing, paragliding, white water canoeing, dinghy sailing and mountain biking all within easy reach.
There are also plenty of more gentle options to enjoy. You can explore the host of historical castles and houses in the area, such as the wonderful Dalemain historic house and gardens, stroll around charming Lakeland towns and villages or you and your family can have fun at the many events happening all year round. Visit the nearby Rheged Centre; this family entertainment and leisure complex is Cumbria’s leading family day out. Thanet Well Park is located on the edge of the Greystoke Castle Estate which offers off-road driving and country pursuits such as Falconry and Fly Casting.
