Situated just beside the beautiful village of Pooley Bridge, nestled on the fellside overlooking Ullswater, Hillcroft Country Park is the perfect location for holidays in the Lake District. Fine walking and cycling opportunities abound, straight from the park. In addition, for the energetic, there is hang-gliding, climbing, paragliding, white water canoeing, dinghy sailing and mountain biking, all within easy reach.

There are also plenty of more gentle options to enjoy.  You can explore the host of historic castles and houses in the area, such as the wonderful Dalemain historic house and gardens, stroll around charming Lakeland towns and villages or you and your family can have fun at the many events happening all year round. Visit the nearby Rheged Centre, a family entertainment and leisure complex that is Cumbria’s leading family day out.
